The State House of Assembly has appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to grant the School of Midwifery, Kisi, full autonomy for more effective service delivery.
The House made the appeal during its sitting following a motion by a lawmaker, Honourable Waliu Salami.
Hon. Salami said such approval will enhance quality health care services.
The Assembly also deliberated extensively on a motion titled sexual harassment against women and girls presented by Hon. Olufunke Olajide.
The lawmaker noted that the spate of sexual harassment of females requires urgent attention.
The House before adjourning its sitting to Tuesday next week, also discussed the bill on amendment of retirement of judiciary officers presented by the House Leader, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin.
