Impressive College of Nursing Refutes Illegality Claims, Clarifies Ongoing Accreditation Process
The management of Impressive College of Nursing Sciences (ICONS), Òkèho, in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State, has issued an official response addressing recent allegations describing the institution as operating illegally.
In a statement made available to newsmen, the College categorically refuted the claims, stating that it is not functioning as an illegal institution as alleged in the recent publication.
According to the management, the College is currently undergoing its accreditation process, which is structured in stages in line with the requirements of relevant regulatory bodies. The process, they emphasized, is ongoing, with significant progress already recorded.
The statement further disclosed that the institution has duly submitted all required documentation, noting that its file is currently with both the Oyo State Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health for necessary review and approvals.
The management also highlighted that accreditation is not an instant process but a progressive one that involves inspections, documentation, and strict compliance with stipulated standards. It reaffirmed that Impressive College of Nursing Sciences remains fully committed to meeting all regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards in health education.
While appealing for understanding, the College urged the general public, parents and guardians to remain calm and to seek accurate information through appropriate channels, rather than relying on unverified claims.
