2027 Oyo Guber: Alleged APC Candidate’s List Fuels Debate With Zacch, Adeseun Rise as Key Players
A new list of candidates for the 2027 general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has surfaced, outlining names for governorship, senatorial and House of Representatives positions.
According to the list, Senator Sharafadeen Alli is being projected as the party’s governorship candidate, with Mr. Soji Adedeji named as the deputy governorship candidate.
Those in the know of the list allegedly submitted to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday in Abuja by Senator Ayoade Ademola Adeseun, who is being rumored as the new party leader in the State.
Aside Zacch Adedeji, those in the know of the compilation of the list included serving Senator Yunus Akintunde, and the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja. It could not be ascertained their individual roles but sources in the Villa said they were part of the new power brokers in Oyo APC.
This development as one of the party’s gubernatorial aspirants, Senator Sharafadeen Alli declares tomorrow, Friday.
It was gathered on Thursday that all the aspirants whose names have been sent to Abuja would clad in the same Aso Ebi with Alli on Friday. These individuals whose names have been reproduced below have also been told to mobilise their supporters across the State for Alli’s declaration.

The source confirmed that the list of candidates for the 32 State House of Assembly constituencies is currently being compiled. It is expected to be ready next week.
However, party stakeholders have yet to officially confirm the authenticity of the list, and it remains unclear whether it reflects the position of the APC leadership in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 elections.
Political observers note that candidate selection processes within major parties are typically subject to internal primaries and consultations, suggesting that the situation may evolve as the election cycle approaches.
