O-Pay Riders Are Not Above Traffic Regulations – Mogaji Fagbemi, OYRTMA Boss

The Executive chairman Oyo state Road Transport Management Agency ( OYRTMA ) Mogaji Akin Fagbemi has warned privately owned motorcycle commercial operators (a.k.a. O-Pay Riders) to desist from riding incautioning in Oyo roads.

OYRTMA Boss made the warning in a press statement after a recorded road accident that involved a reckless O-Pay Riders collided with a Toyota saloon car along the road leading to the government house.

Press statement reads:

OYRTMA BOSS WARNS O-PAY RIDERS IN OYO STATE

Online motorcycle commercial operators (a.k.a. O-Pay Riders) have been warned to shun any illusion of believing they can operate any how and anywhere on the roads as no one is above traffic regulations that are bound on all road users.

The warning came from the Oyo state road traffic management authority Executive chairman/ CEO Mogaji Akin Fagbemi , following the killing of an O-Pay rider and his 2 passengers in a fatal accident which occurred today along the road leading to the government house.
The rate of robbery and accidents from this riders is alarming.
According to an eye witness account, th O-Pay rider was riding against traffic when he collided with a Toyota Avalon with Reg No Abj 234 ZC, which crushed the bike man and one of the 2 passengers to death.

In his reaction, Dr Fagbemi, while commiserating with the relations of the deceased enjoined all riders to shun riding or driving against the traffic, stressing that careless driving usually leads to chaos.
Henceforth any rider caught on govt house road will be arrested and prosecuted.
