Makinde Gives Free Shops To Road Side Traders

The State Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde has declared free allocation of the newly constructed stalls at the Agodi Gate junction to the traders who were sent away from the sides within the area.

He made the declaration while commissioning the newly constructed Agodi Gate, Civic centre and Idi-Ape junction improvement works in the company of Anambra state Governor, Charles Soludo.

Governor Makinde frowned at street trading and illegal dumping of refuse, warning that anyone caught culpable will face the wrath of the law.

Anambra state Governor Charles Soludo, described Governor Makinde as an uncommon leader who does fundamental projects, rather than focusing on personal political ambition unlike some other politicians.

The state commissioner for public works and Transportation, Prof. Dahud Shangodoyin, said the road project was aimed to enhance the safety of both motorists and pedestrians, reduce congestion, and improve the overall flow of traffic in Ibadan metropolis.

He added that the project aligns with the vision of transforming the State Into a leading hub of commerce and Investment.

The first Babaloja General of Oyo state, Alhaji Asiwaju Yekini Oladapo, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Relation, Honourable Innocent Nwosu and Member representing Ibadan North State Constituency I Honourable Olajide Comforter lauded the governor for his uncommon initiatives and development of infrastructural projects which signifies progress and sustainability in the state.
