Kwankwaso Has No Party Structure To Contest In 2027 – Olopoeyan

The Southwest leader of the New Nigerian People’s Party, NNPP, Alhaji Abdul-Rasheed Adebisi Olopoeyan, has explained that the former presidential candidate of the party, senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has no structure in the party to contest the 2027 general election.

Olopoeyan said the former Kano state governor kept destroying the available party structure in most of the states due to his greediness and self-centeredness and decided not to work in a state where the party has no working structure.

He said the failure of NNPP in Edo State shows the limitation to the presidential ambition of Kwankwaso come 2027.

The Ibadan-based politician said the recent activities of Senator Kwankwaso and his followers in NNPP had shown that the politician has lost focus in politics.

He said Kwankwaso continued to destabilize the party with the unnecessary and illegal suspension of fateful party members in most states where he had never made a moral and leadership contribution.

” Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso will not contest the 2027 presidential election as he wishes because there wouldn’t be a party structure for him to use.

” Our party, NNPP, is already growing gradually, especially in the southwest, but it seems Senator Kwankwaso is against the progress. He keeps doing subtraction in NNPP while other parties are implementing addition. It is a pity that he doesn’t know, and his followers are not ready to tell him that he has lost the 2027 presidential contest before 2025.

” As a presidential aspirant, I want him to come out and tell Nigerians who are his people in every state, especially in Southwest.

” He needs to go and learn how to be an opposition leader from Atiku, Obi, and Co. Despite the intimidation from APC in Edo, PDP leaders, Obi are very much on ground to campaign for their governorship candidates, but senator Kwankwaso decided not to go to Edo because nobody to welcome him, as he believes there is no NNPP structure in the state.

Speaking further, Olopoeyan said that Senator Kwankwaso’s self-fueling crisis in NNPP had made the party lose two assembly members in Nasarawa state.

He claimed that, the decamped lawmakers in Nasarawa should have been machineries of the party but they have left because of Kwankwaso’s leadership antics

” I just read it on paper that, Hon. Mohammed Garba Isimbabi, a member representing the Toto/Gadabuke constituency, and Hon Musa Ibrahim Abubakar, representing the Doma South constituency at Nasarawa state assembly have dumped NNPP for APC, they cited division in our party at the national level as the primary reason for his defection, which is true,” Olopoeyan stated.

He said that Senator Kwankwaso will continue to lose his political relevance in Nigerian politics because he is a self-centered politician.
