A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State, Oyebisi Ilaka, has congratulated the national leadership of the party following the affirmation of its leadership by the Supreme Court.
Ilaka, who is also the Ladilu of Oyo, commended the National Executive Committee led by David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, describing the court’s decision as a victory for justice, due process, and internal democracy.
In a statement made available to journalists, he also felicitated the newly elected Oyo State Executive Committee of the party under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Afees Jimoh, alongside party leaders, stakeholders, and aspirants across the state.
According to Ilaka, the Supreme Court’s verdict reinforces the ADC’s credibility as a viable opposition platform capable of offering Nigerians purposeful leadership and a clear direction.
“This victory stands as a testament to the triumph of justice and democratic principles within our party. It further strengthens our resolve to build a formidable platform that inspires confidence among Nigerians,” he said.
The ADC stalwart further extended his congratulations to members of the party nationwide, urging them to seize the moment to deepen unity, renew their commitment, and intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of future political engagements.
He emphasized that the development marks a significant milestone in the party’s growth, calling on members to remain steadfast in their collective pursuit of a better Nigeria.
Ilaka concluded by reiterating the party’s slogan, “ADC – Arise and Shine,” as a rallying call for continued dedication to the party’s ideals.
