If Party Primaries Was Free, Fair, Why Is Party Secretariat Under Lock And Key – Group Asks PDP State Chair, Gov. Makinde

An active group within Oyo State People’s Democratic Party, Oyo PDP like minds has asked Oyo state PDP state chairman, Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha, and overall state party leader, gov. Seyi Makinde to explain why the state party secretariat at Molete, Ibadan now under locked.

The group questioned Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha why the party house has not been accessible for party members likewise him not available to entertain issues surrounding the party primaries in the state.

In a statement signed by the group coordinator, Hon. Michael Adepoju, he said, for state party secretariat to have been locked up without tangible reason for days gave the evidence that, the state party exco led by Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha had disappeared to thin air, after party members and aspirants had understood that they had scammed all the Chairmanship and councillorship aspirants.

Pointed out that, if truly the primary elections of the party was free and fair according to Sen. Abdul Ahmed Ningi led electoral committee claimed , the state party secretariat should have been widely open for party members as usual.

The statement read : It is imperative to ask our party state chairman, Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha and overall party leader in the state, His excellency Seyi Makinde reasons why People’s Democratic Party state Secretariat under locked.

” We gathered from a reliable source that, Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha and other party excos has ran away to avoid been mob by party members and aspirants that they had cheated on the course of local government party primary elections.

” If truly State chairman, Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha and his exco also agreed with Ningi’s report that the primary elections was really free and fair, why have they ran away and put their offices at Molete closed ?

” With Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha led exco disappearance and closing down of state party secretariat during and after the primaries has shown that, things are not well at the moment, that there are crisis emanated from the party primaries they said they conducted.

” As it is, our recommendation and best solution to save Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha and his exco’s image from the hands of angry party members and aspirants is to implore governor Seyi Makinde to give an orderrefund of payment of every cheated aspirants.

” Our state chairman and his exco didn’t need to be on the run, they just need to refund all those that paid for nomination forms but denied of party primaries. If they can do this in time, party members and aspirants will try to forgive them of their wrongdoing .
