In a vibrant atmosphere of athleticism and camaraderie, Government Community High School, Ido, was full of life as Ido local government, in conjunction with the National Association of Primary School Game and Sports Teachers NAPSGAST, Ido LG branch, held its Y2024 annual Sports Festival.
Among other things, the event served as a dynamic platform to spotlight emerging sports talents within the Ido local government, unveiling a plethora of new athletes who showcased remarkable skills and shattered records with their exceptional performances.
The local government had earlier concluded a boxing compilation among young and talented youth within the council area.
While acknowledging the festival’s overarching mission, the council chairman underscored the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play in shaping well-rounded individuals, adding that the event serves as a platform to nurture social interaction and foster the development of skills and talents across various sports disciplines similar to the aspirations of aspiring athletes worldwide.
