Makinde’s Deputy, Bayo Lawal To Commission Amotekun Outposts Built By Olorunsogo LG Council Chair Dec. 3rd

 

Oyo state deputy governor, Chief Bayo Lawal will lead dignitaries in Oke Ogun to commission two Amotekun Outposts
build by executive chairman, Olorunsogo Local Government area of Oyo state, Hon Qozeem Olayanju December 3rd.

It will be recall, that Olayanju announced the completion and commissioning of newly built Amotekun stations constructed at Tesi Garuba (federal government reserve) along Igbeti-Kisi road while the second post is situated at Budo Ayinla, Igbeti-Igboho road ( FG Reserve Area) for operatives of the security outfit to tackle banditry, kidnapping, illegal mining, and armed robbery in flashpoints.

According to the council chairman, Olayanju, while addressing journalists from Ibadan in his office, said the deputy governor of Oyo state, who has also been interested in tackling the security challenges, especially kidnapping, illegal mining, and banditry in Oke Ogun, will be available in Igbeti to declare the offices open for use for the personnel.

Olayanju added that the Oyo State Amotekun commandant, Col. Olayinka, will join the state deputy governor for the commissioning. He said the two completed Amotekun outposts are the first phase of the four befitting offices to be constructed for the personnel.

” The construction of the security offices is in line to complement the efforts of the state governor, Seyi Makinde at maintaining a safe and secured Oyo state, as we continue to appreciate and support our governor on security, especially in Oke Ogun area, we will also thank his deputy, Bayo Lawal for his commitment and consistency when it comes to the protection of lives and property of our people.

Olayanju said the newly built Amotekun Outposts will no doubt reduce the incidents of kidnapping, illegal mining, and banditry,y, especially at flashpoints around Federal government forest reserves.

He thereafter assured the people of Olorunsogo local government of his
continued commitment to the safety of lives and property in both rural and urban areas.

Other dignitaries expected at the event are Chief JG Adetoro, the Asiwaju of Igbeti Land; Hon. Abiodun Oni, the Chairman Oyo state Agency For Solid Minerals and the Onigbeti of Igbeti Engr. Bashir Olamilekan Abioye among others
