Dele Bajaj Foundation Holds Poverty Alleviation Program In Ibarapa, Empowers 500

It was a memorable day on Sunday 28th, in Ibarapaland, as Mr. Usman BAMIDELE Olohunwa the founder of

Dele Bajaj Foundation ( none-governmental  organisation ) sensitised and empowered farmers across the towns that comprises of  Ibarapa North and Central local government areas.

The items distributed at the Dele Bajaj empowerment programme held at Teacher’s Plaza, Igboora -Idere Road included, seedlings of rice, maize, soya beans, millet and cash for each farmer.

Speaking at the programme, Mr. Morounfolu Adeniyi who  represented the owner of Dele Bajaj foundation, appreciated the farmers  for their presence and patients. He however affirmed the readiness and continuous support of Dele Bajaj foundation to Farmers across the land.

 

“ The owner is this foundation, Mr. Dele asked me to inform you all that, this is just a tip of ice berg, the next poverty alleviation will more than this one we are doing today, the seedlings you are being given today is not meant to be consumed but to be cultivated. We will monitor how you made use of the seeds through development of your farms and there will be additional rewardsfor whosoever utilises this material excellently”

Present at the poverty alleviation programme included Chief Akorede, Baale Agbe Of Ibarapa North, Ayeye, Chief Lawal Amubieya, representative of Baale Agbe of Tapa, Mr Owoade Johnson, Mr Olatunde Rasaq who’s the guest speaker of the program.

The guest speaker at the programme, Mr Owoade Johnson  spoke to the farmers on important of healthy living and healthy lifestyle. He urged the farmers to always maintain healthiness in whatever they do, ranging from the food they consume, what they drink and how they dress. He stressed the importance of exercise as a significant tool to ensuring healthy lifestyle.

Also speaking at the event, Mr Olatunde Rasaq spoke on the importance of farming as a profession and how the resident of Ibarapa are underitilizing the bounties of land and nature that beautify the land.

In his words : ‘I want to tell you people that this farming profession is like a gold mining industry but many of you do not know. Many of you are in Farming for close to 30 years but you hardly have nothing to show for it. This is not because you don’t know your onions but you don’t know how to maximize your efforts so that your returns can be more or equivalent than your efforts. This Ibarapa land is being underutilized for farming and I urge us that their would be enlightenment for you all very soon. So as to know the right market for your produces”

Mr Uthman, Dele Bajaj Father also addressed the audience and appreciated them for their presence. He spoke on the significant of giving charity and enjoins all to always give from the little they posses.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Florence Alawode appreciated if the foundation together with the parents for putting this together. She prayed God elevates the Founder so the society can enjoy him the more.

Earlier on Saturday 27th, Dele Bajaj foundation had earlier screened candidates for UTME 2021 free forms and scholarship for indigent students.
