Ibadan North Bye-Election: The Need For True Party Loyalty Within PDP || By Adeyemi Oluwaseun

As we approach the impending by-election in Ibadan North Federal Constituency to fill the vacancy left by the late Federal House of Representatives member, Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi Jagaban, we must act with wisdom, prioritizing the party’s interests over personal ambitions.

The PDP, a party built on strong principles and a commitment to the people, must field a candidate who has demonstrated unwavering loyalty and dedication over the years, not someone who drifts in and out of the party, seeking opportunities only when it suits his or her personal political interests.

It is no secret that some of the 2023 aspirants vanished from the political scene the moment things didn’t go their way. This kind of opportunism cannot be ignored in such an important election.
A true party member remains steadfast even in adversity and continues to work towards the party’s goals, whether in victory or defeat.
Therefore, this position should be open to all loyal and active party members who possess strong leadership traits.
We need to support candidate who have stayed grounded, not those who flee at the first sign of trouble.
As for the author of the previous article, revered Baba Ismaila Ashipa, it is clear that his motivations are driven more by personal gain than by fairness.
He is a political chameleon, constantly changing his stance to suit whoever offers the highest price.
He frustrates the efforts of true party loyalists behind the scenes while pretending to stand for justice.
Even if a madman offered him enough money, he would have no hesitation in trying to convince the public that the madman was the best candidate for the position.
What’s worse, Baba Ashipa regularly stoops to collecting rebates from his ward councilor, supervisory councilor, and special assistants—profiting from their work without any regard for their sacrifices or the well-being of the people.

This behavior not only undermines his integrity but also exposes his true intentions.

He prioritizes lining his pockets over making any meaningful contributions to the party or the constituency.

Ibadan North deserves a representative who is loved by the people, someone who has worked tirelessly for the community and will provide consistent, quality representation in the Federal House of Representatives.

We cannot allow the political process to be hijacked by individuals who are more focused on financial gain than on serving the people.

Ibadan North PDP needs a candidate who can earn legitimacy through their commitment to the people, not someone handpicked by a self-serving individual like Ashipa.

The future of our constituency depends on selecting a representative who genuinely has the best interests of Ibadan North at heart, not someone easily swayed by monetary incentives.

Let us make a wise choice and ensure that our voices are heard through a leader we can trust to act with integrity.
