Ibadan Airport Upgrade: Oorelope LG Chair, Ogundiran Hails Gov. Makinde’s Developmental Vision
The executive chairman of Orelope local government, Hon. Jacob Oluwale Ogundiran has commended the state governor for his leadership and strive for development in the state.
Orelope council Chair, Ogundiran, through the Super for Information, Hon. Sulaiman Mustapha, made the commendation after the governor officially flagged off the N41bn upgrade of the Ibadan airport, renamed Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan Oyo state Capital.
Ogundiran said Makinde’s administration has been committed to good governance with a clear vision to transform all zones in the state into a business hub.
The council chairman explained that the new Ibadan Airport Upgrade initiative would enhance transportation and attract businesses, tourists, and investors not only to Ibadan but others would also be beneficiaries.
“ Congratulations to Governor Makinde, Oyo state people on the flag off of the upgrade of Ibadan Airport to Ladoke Akintola International Airport, the project shows the governor is a man of vision and a passionate agent of development, no doubt, modernizing the airport is essential for connecting the state to the global economy and facilitating economic activities.
” This project is another way of turning our proximity into economic benefits; Ibadan, Oke Ogun, Ogbomoso, and other zones will benefit greatly,” Ogundiran said.
As he praises the governor, the council chairman expressed confidence that Governor Makinde will not leave any stone unturned for the modern Oyo state before he concludes his administration in 2027.
