Residents of Ward 08 in Ido Local Government Area, alongside Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders and supporters, gathered to celebrate a community empowerment initiative led by the Deputy Leader of the Legislative Chamber, Hon. Oyepeju Kazeem Olawale.
At the event, 40 beneficiaries received cash grants aimed at improving their livelihoods, supporting small businesses, and addressing household needs. The initiative drew commendation from attendees, who described it as a timely intervention to ease economic challenges within the ward.
Speaking at the programme, Hon. Oyepeju assured constituents of continued commitment to their welfare, noting that the gesture marked the beginning of more developmental efforts. He pledged to sustain initiatives that would enhance prosperity and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
The Deputy Leader also appreciated the support of party and community stakeholders, including the Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, and other prominent leaders, for their roles in advancing grassroots development.
