His Exit ‘ll Leave A Void For Ibadan, Mogaji Akinajo Mourns Olubadan, Sympathizes With Council Chief, Mogajis

One of the family heads in Ibadanland, Mogaji Hon. Olamide Akinajo has said it is unfortunate for the Oyo state government, people of Ibadan to have lost Oba Dr. Moshood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunade II.

He described the death of Olubadan as a great loss to the family, Oyo state government, the Ibadan Sons and Daughters, CCII and most especially, Olubadan in Council and Ibadan Mohajis.

Akinajo, a former state lawmaker and present aide to Oyo state government said, late Oba Lekan Balogun was a resourceful administrator and great father who made immense contributions towards the stability, growth and success of his family, Ibadanland, Oyo state and Nigeria.

” On behalf of Akinajo’s extended family from E8/102 Oje, Ibadan, I sympathise with the state government, Ibadan indigenes home and abroad as well as Olubadan in Council and all Ibadan Magajis for the loss of our respected King.

Oba Olalekan Balogun lived an exemplary life, he wholeheartedly served Ibadanland democratically and traditionally, his legacy will be there for ever for Sons and Daughters of Ibadan to emulate

” No time is good to lose such an inspiring father, his reign was very short, no doubt, his exit to the great beyond will leave a void for Ibadan he served for years to come. ” Mogaji Akinajo stated
