Gov. Makinde Already Set The Pace In His First 100 Days Of Second Term – ALGON Chair, Sanda

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON chairman in Oyo state, Hon. Sikiru Sanda has said the state governor, Seyi Makinde raised the standard of governance higher in the first 100 days of his second term despite challenges of subsidy removal and labor strikes.

Governor Makinde, who assumed office again for another term on 29 May after being declared winner of the 2023 governorship election, clocked 100 days in office on Friday.

The ALGON chairman, who is the elected chairman of Egbeda local government area in Oyo state noted that since the re-assumption of office, Makinde’s administration has been making steady progress.

Sanda, while congratulating Seyi Makinde over the result of his steadfastness said the governor has planted another seeds of transformation, growth, and all-round development in Oyo state, in his first 100 days in office for Omititun 2.0.

The ALGON chairman, in the statement personally signed and made available to journalists in Ibadan, appealed to Oyo state residents and the Civil Servants, in particular, to continue to support the government and show more understanding.

“I congratulate Governor Seyi Makinde for another fresh 100 days in office, he is no doubt a gift to the people of Oyo state.

“Gov. Seyi Makinde since he resumed for his second time has made bold and courageous decisions. Aside from laying his hand on new projects, he has fulfilled many promises made to the workers and residents of Oyo state in just 100 days in office,” Sanda said.

He also acknowledged Governor Makinde for going to extra lengths to ameliorate the pains of his people over subsidy removal which happened within his first 100 days in office.

” The last 100 days have not been easy for the people of this country, but Governor Seyi Makinde stood in for his people. The introduction of the Sustainable Actions for Economic Recovery (SAfER) Programme to the citizens of Oyo State made him a step ahead of his contemporaries in governance.

Sanda thereafter urged the state residents to keep supporting the state government and local governments to enable them to continue rolling out good governance.
