Gbolarumi Dares Gov. Makinde To Announce Preferred Presidential Candidate At His Flag Off Tomorrow
A former deputy governor of Oyo state, Hazeem Gbolarumi has said, the state governor, Seyi Makinde would not announce support for any other presidential candidate at tomorrow’s kick-off campaign.
The Oyo state governor, Makinde is billed to speak on his preferred presidential candidate at tomorrow’s rally, which is to flag off via campaign. But Hazeem Gbolarumi said the governor will not make the mistake.
Gbolarunmi made this known while addressing reporters yesterday, during a press conference held at NUJ Hall, Iyaganku, Ibadan for the Atiku solidarity walk that will hold today.
The former deputy governor who is one of the leaders of pro-Atiku group members in Oyo state said, governor Makinde seems to have made up his mind in who to campaign for, for the presidency but he would never be good enough to declare for the opposition during governor governorship campaign flag off tomorrow, which will also be attended by his G5 governors.
Gbolarunmi thereafter added that Atiku Abubakar would win the election with or without the G-5 governors.
The Atiku solidarity walk that is expected to be held today, January 4th is staged by former minister for Special Duties Elder Wole Oyelese, Minister of State for Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Oloye Jumoke Akinjide, former deputy governor Hazeem Gbolarumi, Engr. Femi Babalola and other PDP Chieftains in Oyo state.
The rally, christened ‘Freedom Walk,’ will start at the Total Garden area of the capital city and terminate at the historic Mapo Hall where party leaders will address PDP supporters and others on why they should mobilize and vote for Atiku in the election.
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke is expected to open the solidarity walk as the Coordinator of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation (PCO) in the Southwest.
