No fewer than three companies around Dugbe – Oke Bola axis of Ibadan would have been destroyed by fire on Monday evening if not for the timely intervention of fire fighters.

Speaking with a manager of one of the private companies that sell plastic and furniture, Mrs Olayori Olamide who expressed appreciation to God that the fire which started directly at the back of their company did not spread to the company, thanked the firefighters for their timely intervention.
In an interview with one of the firefighters, Mr Akande Kedi who could not ascertain the reason behinde the fire said they were right on time to put out the fire before if could spread to the companies.

However, some residents around the area claimed that the fire could have started through the fireworks known as “banger” that some children in the area were playing with.
