The Eegunjenmi Family of Itutaba, Oje, ibadan, has described the late Ambassador Ibironke Adefope as an illustrious and worthy daughter of the family, who did her best to unify the family.
The former Nigerian High Commissioner to Zambia and daughter of the renowned Chief (Mrs) Aduke Vaughan nee Akinloye was equally described as a family woman, who did her best towards promoting and sustaining the legacies of the Eegunjenmi Family.
Mogaji Eegunjenmi and chairman, Euro Lounge, Suites & Exclusive Bar, Alhaji Amidu Adekunle Busari, stated this on Wednesday.
Mogaji Busari, who commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased as well as with the entire Eegunjenmi Family, prayed to God to grant repose to her soul.
He noted that Amb. Adefope would be sorely missed by all members of the family, as she played different positive roles that would make the vacuum created by her demise difficult to fill.
He said: “With sorrow in our hearts but total submission to the will of Allah, we accept the death of our daughter, sister and mother, Amb. Ibironke Adefope.
“She was an illustrious and worthy daughter of the Eegunjenmi Family just like her ebullient late mother, Chief (Mrs) Aduke Vaughan nee Akinloye.
“In her lifetime, Amb. Adefope was a bridge builder, a unifier, and an exemplary family woman. She played uncountable positive roles in the family, and her death has left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.
“She made immense contributions to the uplift of the Eegunjenmi Family and the sustenance of the legacies of our Patriarch, Chief Meredith Adisa Akinloye, her uncle.
“We will miss Amb. Adefope and what she stood for in our family.
“I pray to Allah SWT to grant repose to her soul and stand by the family she left behind.”
