Critics Motivate Me To Be A Better Person – Sheriff Adeojo, Urges Ido Residents To Vote For Continuity On Saturday

The Executive Chairman of Ido local government area of Oyo state, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has stated that criticism would continue to motivate him to be a better person and enable him give a human face to governance.

Adeojo, who disclosed this while speaking with reporters on Wednesday in his office at the Ido local government secretariat, Ido, explained that, in the last three years as local government chairman, he faced a lot of challenges but overcame all through his resilience and dedication.

He explained that his administration, irrespective of the challenges, did not give excuses or failed to deliver on projects and programmes promised during the campaign.

“Serving the people has never been easy, but I just need to justify the trust the people of Ido local government had in me.

“I was first given a trial for LCDA administrator. My performance made Governor Seyi Makinde and PDP give me the ticket to contest as chairman in 2021, I won the election, and here are we today.

“As you can all see, I have a good record over the three years as elected chairman. My return ticket never came on a platter of gold. My achievements and determination to deliver promises made to people earned me the ticket to contest again.

“Though, as a politician and an elected office holder, critics will be everywhere to criticize, but I grew up to live with criticism. Critics motivate me to be a better person. I can’t achieve more on project delivery today as executive chairman of Ido local government if not because of criticism. It just keeps me on my toes,” Adeojo stated.

He explained that he had delivered a lot of projects in his local government in the last three years as chairman, and argued that if he is not the most performing council chairman presently in Oyo state, definitely he will be among the most performing chairmen.
