Covid- 19 : Don’t Panic, Adekanmbi Urges Oyo Traders, Distributes Hand Sanitizers

Ex Oyo commissioner for Finance and Budget, Bimbo Adekanmbi initiative which has being distributing thousands of sanitizers and engaging people on safety tips to ward off CoronaVirus within Ibadan moved to Oyo town to continue educating people on the causes, effect and prevention of the virus.

Adekanmbi’s campaign team against the spread of Coronavirus toured Oyo town to sensitise and distribute hand sanitizers to prevent the spread of coronavirus, visited Akesan, Owode markets and some communities in Oyo.

The sensitization and hand sanitizer distributions which was held at Akesan and Owode market focused principally on key messages on coronavirus; like prevention, symptoms and negative effect of raising fake news for public consumption.”

In a statement by Bimbo Adekanmbi, he admonished the market men and women to be cautious and apply necessary preventive measures including regular washing of hands with soap and water or use of alcohol containing sanitizers.

He added other measures as avoiding touching the eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands; covering the nose and mouth with napkin, handkerchief or nose mask while coughing or sneezing and; keeping at least 5 feet distance from anyone.

 Adekanmbi also advised anyone with symptoms of continuous coughing and sneezing to report to the nearest health facility for medical attention, especially if such is accompanied by mild fever.
