Breaking: Olopoeyan Resigns From NNPP, To Announce Next Political Party Soon

The Southwest leader of the New Nigerian People’s Party, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan has announced his resignation from the party.
Olopoeyan, who has been the overall leader and the face of NNPP in the Southwest zone, is said to be the major financial of the party in Oyo state.
The former Oyo PDP chieftain, who joined NNPP over two years ago, ascribed himself as one who made NNPP one of the major opposition parties in Oyo state, citing personal reasons for his resignation.
In a statement on Wednesday morning titled “Resignation from the New Nigerian People’s Party,” Olopoeyan reflected on his long-standing commitment to the party’s development in Oyo state and said he found it worthy to leave NNPP even though, with his commitment and unquestionable support for the party since he joined in 2022.
However, Olopoeyan expressed appreciation to the foundation and
Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), Boniface Aniebonam, as well as other party leaders, for their love and accommodation throughout the time he spent with them in NNPP.
Despite his resignation from NNPP, Olopoeyan assured that he will always be available for and continue his outside-politics relationship with Chief Boniface Aniebonam.
Acknowledging the difficulty of his decision, Olopoeyan emphasized the necessity of taking this step.
” It is in the light of the foregoing, that I am compelled to offer my resignation from the New Nigerian People’s Party
effective immediately. While this decision was difficult to take, I, however, believe that it is the right one,” he stated.
However, Olopoeyan, after his resignation from NNPP, did not announce his next move in politics; he stated that he would make a statement about his next move in politics soonest.
