Boundary Disputes: Oyo Government Charges Citizens To Remain Calm
Oyo State Government, through the Chairman Sub-Technical Committee on State Boundary and Communal Land Dispute Resolutions, Surveyor, Alaba Abiodun, the Surveyor General of Oyo State has said that the present Administration would proffer solution to all intra Local Governments and Communal Land Disputes in affected Local Government area in the State.
He stated this during a joint meeting with the Sub-Technical Committee on boundary disputes with the affected Local Government areas in the State held at the Bureau of Physical Planning and Urban Development Conference Room, Secretariat Ibadan, the State Capital.
The Surveyor -General said the issue on Boundary Resolution should not be sentimental, adding that, State Government will do justice to all lingering boundary disputes across the State.
“We are about to give the final judgement for all pending boundary disputes, the Committee will do justice to all boundary crises in the State without sentiment and clear conscience at the end of the exercise”.
He urged citizens of the State to allow peace to reign in their domain for Government to be able to administer who and who owns the land.
The Surveyor-General admonished people of the State to live together in Harmony and in comformity with the rules and regulations of their areas without causing any chaos.
The affected Local Government are Akinyele Local Government, Ido, Egbeda, Lagelu, Ibadan North West, Ibadan South West, Iseyin, Ibarapa East, Itesiwaju, Atisbo, Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa East, Saki West, Saki East, Atisbo South LCDA, Oyo West, Saki East, Afijio, Kajola, Orelope, Irepo Local Government, Olorunsogo, and Orire Local Government area of the State.
