The Akinremi Legacy Forum (ALF) on Friday held a special prayer session in remembrance of the late former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Prince Musiliu Olaide Akinremi, popularly known as Jagaban, reaffirming its commitment to preserving his legacy of service and grassroots development.
The remembrance event, held on July 10, 2026, brought together family members, political associates, supporters, and admirers who gathered to celebrate the late lawmaker’s life and contributions to public service.
Clerics at the event offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Akinremi’s soul, while participants paid glowing tributes to his humility, generosity, accessibility, and dedication to the welfare of his constituents.
Speaking during the programme, members of the Forum described the late lawmaker as a leader whose commitment to selfless service, unity, and people-oriented leadership left an enduring mark on the lives of many.
They noted that the gathering served as an opportunity to reflect on his exemplary life, remarkable public service record, and the lasting impact he made on individuals and communities during his lifetime.
The Forum reaffirmed its resolve to uphold the ideals and values for which Akinremi was widely known, stressing that his vision for compassionate leadership and grassroots development would continue to inspire future generations.
ALF also expressed appreciation to prominent personalities and supporters who have stood by the Forum since the late lawmaker’s passing.
Those recognised include Otunba Adeseye Famojuro, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, Barr. Lowo Obisesan, Hon. Shina Peller, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, Hon. Tosin Ayoade, as well as several other friends, associates, and well-wishers.
According to the Forum, their unwavering support and encouragement have played a significant role in sustaining its activities and ensuring that Akinremi’s legacy of compassion, service, and leadership remains alive in the hearts of the people.
