Speaking with the matriculating students, the Ag. Rector, Dr. Gbade Akinteye admonished them to be law-abiding, be good ambassadors of the institution in and out of the campus, and shun frivolous attitudes.

The statement reads thus:

“All grace and adoration unto God Almighty for the opportunity to stand before this congregation in line with the Institutional Policy Provision to matriculate fresh students for the 2021/2022 Academic Session. It is my pleasure to welcome you on behalf of the Governing Council, management, Board of Studies, and staff to this year’s matriculation ceremony. Matriculation ceremonies such as the one we are having today are an official declaration of admissions of students into tertiary institutions, upon the fulfillment of all necessary admission requirements as contained in the Polytechnic Handbook. I say congratulations to all the matriculants.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, your preference for Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa in moving forward in your academic voyage is not an accident. The Institution is one of the renowned academic settings blessed with serene physical atmosphere and excellent human resources that are essential for qualitative academic engagements.”

“My dear matriculating students should note that this is the beginning of a promising, meaningful, and successful academic career that should be guided accordingly. You are to equally note that facilities are adequate for you and the high level of manpower needed is already on the ground. I, therefore, implore you to complement the provisions made by being law-abiding, obedient, and hardworking. Punctuality at lectures, submission of assignments as at when due, and being studious are the essential ingredients needed to attain your desired dreams.”

Speaking further, Dr. Akinteye advised matriculating students to seek guidance and advice not only from lecturers but also management and staff of the institution.

“You should need social and academic guidance. In this regard, staff members of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic value you and shall protect and guide you towards attaining academic excellence.”

“Dear matriculants, you are to note that failure to complete all other necessary registrations and payment of school fees in the next few weeks implies that you will be denied the opportunity to participate in the examination. At this juncture, I want to use this occasion to charge all caring and loving parents here present not to take the task of training their wards with levity. Let us see it as a collective responsibility to ensure these young ones have all-around training so that they can be found worthy in character and knowledge and ultimately become responsible citizens in all ramifications.”

While rounding off his speech, the Ag. Rector, appreciated His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor Of Oyo State for his special love for Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic and unparalleled love for the educational sector. He also thanked the hardworking Governing Council led by Prof. Samuel Ogundiran for their unflinching support towards the development of the Institution.
“The feat recorded in the recent mobilization of our 2017/2018 graduands for the National Youth Service scheme would not have been possible without his support. Regular payment of workers’ salaries and emoluments currently enjoyed by the workforce in the state is one of the incentives that set His Excellency apart, which equally boosts our productivity. We say thank you, sir.”
