Igboora Born Physician, Olaoye Emerges State Chairman Of Association Of Medical And Dental Officers
An Igboora-born physician, Dr Olaoye, Solomon Olagoke has emerged as the new chairman of the Association Of Medical And Dental Officers (AMDO) of Oyo state, Nigeria.
Dr. Olaoye was elected unopposed at the 2023 elective AGM of the association held on Tuesday, 12th September, at the Ring Road State Hospital (RRSH), Ibadan, Oyo state.
The new Oyo AMDO chairman had his undergraduate medical training at the University of Ilorin, Kwara state, he is the current Medical Director of the General Hospital, Kisi, Oyo state,
Dr. Olaoye Solomon holds a master’s degree in Pharmacology and therapeutics from the University of Ilorin.
He has his credit postgraduate certification in environmental and reproductive toxicology, epidemiology, and health financing amongst others
He was inducted as a fellow of the Chulabhorn Research Institute, University of Mahidol, Bangkok, Thailand.
In his acceptance speech after being announced as the new state chairman of the Association Of Medical And Dental Officers, Dr. Adeoye pledged his loyalty to the association and solicited the unwavering support of all members, urged his colleagues to be up and doing while hoping for the best from the new executive council
He thereafter promised to further consult and consolidate on the consultations of his predecessor in his engagement with the Oyo state government towards bringing back and ensuring continuous industrial harmony in the state health sector.
