My Ancestors Ask Me To Aspire For Position Of Aláàfin – Prince Adelani ” Ìgbèhìn Ádùn “

Prince Adebayo Sulaiman Adelani popularly known as Igbehin Adun, from family of Ona-Aka, Mogaji Alalubosa in Oyo town, zone of Oyo State has explained that his ancestors had instructed him to show aspiration for position of Aláàfin of Oyo.

Prince Adelani, who hails from the ruling house of Omo-Oba Alaafin Olu-Asho, Oladigbolu II made his intention known while speaking with news men at his country home in Okeho, Kajola Local Government, Area of the state.

Prince revealed that he had no intention nor aspiration for ascension of this exalted position of his forefathers, until revelations from different quarters keep emerging that he needs to show interest in it.

Adelani said, shortly after he got those pieces of information and revelations from spiritual men, he swung into action to meet with his family members at Mogaji Alalubosa to intimate them with the spiritual messages with their eagerness to show unflinching support towards its feasibility.

Adelani who lamented that he has no financial muscle nor connection to make the message into reality, maintained that the more he ignores the revelations, the more people tell him to show aspiration despite his lack of connection and financial strength.

He added that, he had declined to meet with any nor group of kingmakers in Oyo, sequel to lack of money and other valuables which he thinks are prerequisites for identification of his indigeneship and aspiration for the vacant stool.

Adelani said, he needed help from God almighty and people that matter, so as to make this dream and revelations for ascension of the seat a reality.

While asking on why he lives at Okeho, Igbehin Adun responded that Idahomey war sent the first and second Alaafins who were brothers to each other out of Oyo town.

He added that the elder brother resided at Okeho while the younger one lived at Igboho till the war was over.

He furthered that, shortly after the war, there were messages from Oyo Alaafin that the younger brother should return home to ascend the throne of his forefathers but he insisted, unless his elder brother accompanied him to the source.

He said, they both agreed to return home amidst jubilation which culminated in throne’s ascension by the younger brother.

Igbehin Adun revealed that, after the demise of the monarch, the son of the elder brother who happened to be Oba Olu-Asho Muhammed, Alaafin II was eventually installed and coronated.

He reiterated his appeal to people in the society on assistance that would make his dream and revelations a reality
