Why I Was Absent At Peace Accord Meeting – Oyo APC Guber Candidate, Folarin
Oyo state governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in the 2023 general election, Sen. Teslim Folarin has given reasons for his absence at the signing of the peace Pact held at the Oyo state headquarters of the Nigeria police.
Folarin on his Facebook page said “My absence at today’s Peace Accord Meeting chaired by His Excellency Rashidi Ladoja at Oyo State Police Headquarters, Eleyele Ibadan was not deliberate.
“I left Ibadan for Abuja in the early hours of today without any knowledge of the very important meeting.”
“The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adebowale Williams called to invite me barely 1hr to the scheduled meeting. However, I was ably represented by my runningmate, Dr. Okunlola David, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli (2023 Oyo APC Senatorial Candidate for Oyo South) and APC Oyo South Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Mojeed Olaoya”.
“As a peace-loving citizen and strong advocate of issue-based campaigns and violence-free elections, I am wholeheartedly in line with the peace accord”.
