We Will Continue To Prioritize Health Sector – Oyo Govt.

The Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun has said that the present administration in the State would continue to prioritize Health Sector and continue to train its Health practitioners with best practices in managing the Covid – 19 pandemic in the State.

She stated this during a courtesy visit paid by Security Logistics and Mass Care Pillar under the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19, held at Head of Service’s Conference Room, Secretariat, Ibadan, the State Capital.

She said the present Government in the State led by His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde has put the resources to the right people to manage Covid-19 treatment in the State.

The Secretary to the State Government said the State Government had built isolation centres across the State and the State did not shut down during the first wave of Covid-19 pandemic because of the economic situation of the country.

She said the State Government would continue to sensitize the general public about the spread and all necessary information about Covid-19 pandemic in the State.

In his remark, the team leader, Security Logistics and Mass Care Pillar under the Presidential Steering Committee on Covid- 19 (DCP) Basil Idegwu commended the State Government for adopting Own Your Action (OYA) slogan to control the spread of Covid-19 in Oyo State.

Idegwu promised to collaborate with the State Government in the campaign and activities to curb the menace of COVID-19 Pandemic.
