Shun Cultism, Drugs, Adeojo Urges Students
The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has urged students of secondary schools in the local government areas to desist from engaging in drugs or belonging to cultism.

The chairman sounded the warning while addressing students of some selected secondary schools within the local government area during the sensitization campaign against cultism and drug abuse hosted by Ido Local Government.
Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, who was represented at the program by his Chief of Staff, Hon. AbdulAzeez Yahyah said the essence of the program as laid down by the state government is to condemn the involvement of students in drug-related matters likewise, taking part in secret cults, which are prevalent among students of secondary schools in the state.
He said further that the future is promising for obedient students as they stand to become great in life if they desist from associating with bad gangs who could ruin their lives

Earlier in his lecture, Dr. Michael Olufemi from the Department of Political Science, University of Ibadan, urged the students to emulate good people as their role models rather than joining people of questionable characters.
He emphasized that hooligans and thuggery can only lead them to prison or an early grave.

Dr Olufemi admonished the students to always remember the child of whom they are in their daily engagement not to tarnish their names and dent the family names they are bearing.
