The Oyo State Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has held a strategic meeting with former Special Advisers (SAs) and Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) who served under the administration of the late former Governor of Oyo State, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

The meeting, held in Ibadan, was aimed at strengthening political collaboration, fostering unity among stakeholders and charting a common direction for the APC ahead of the 2027 governorship election in the state.

Senator Alli, while addressing the gathering, acknowledged the wealth of experience and institutional knowledge possessed by the former political appointees, describing them as critical stakeholders whose contributions could strengthen the party’s campaign and grassroots mobilisation efforts.

He stressed the need for all members of the progressive family to work together, putting aside individual interests and differences in the larger interest of the APC and the people of Oyo State.

According to him, the experience of those who served under the Ajimobi administration remains valuable to the party, particularly as the APC seeks to present a credible and development-oriented alternative to the people of the state.

The APC governorship candidate called for greater engagement among party leaders, former political office holders, grassroots mobilisers and other stakeholders, noting that unity and effective coordination would be essential to achieving electoral success.

Senator Alli also assured the former SAs and SSAs that their views, experience and recommendations would be given due consideration in shaping the party’s strategies and programmes ahead of the election.
