The wife of the executive chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Mrs. Habeebat Yusuff, has donated food items and an undisclosed amount of money to her constituency.
Donating the items on Tuesday at the council secretariat in Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo state, Mrs. Yusuff said the gesture was part of her service to God and humanity has been emulated by Her Excellency Mrs. Ominini Makinde.
According to a press release by the special adviser on media and publicity to the chairman of Ibadan north local government, Mr. Bodija Akinwale, stated that the gestures by the chairperson have been a routine towards giving back to society.
Mrs. Habeebat Yusuff while addressing the beneficiaries stated that;
“It has been a routine for me to render such service to God and humanity because from the little God has blessed us with we must try to share it with everyone around us, especially our women and children.
“ The festive season is around the corner, and we must bear in mind that most people don’t have anything in celebrating at all, and for me, who is privileged, there is no better time than now to reach out.
“So, for me to do this now, I count it a privilege and a way of appreciating my creator for giving me the opportunity and enablement,’’ she said.
