Saheed Akinade-fijabi Foundation Celebrates Ex- Lawmaker Birthday, Donates Medical Device To UCH

Saheed Akinade-fijabi Foundation has donated Infusion Pump to Children’s Emergency Ward, University College Hospital, Ibadan ( UCH ), a kind gesture made to celebrate this year birthday of Hon. Saheed Akinade-fijabi.

The Saheed Akinade-Fijabi Foundation is known to celebrate ex-lawmaker’s birthday by giving back, empowering, helping out and donating to good causes, also supporting the future leaders of tomorrow.

The Foundation’s choice of equipment was made in line with the chairman’s vision of supporting Pediatrics. The INFUSION PUMP is a medical device that is used to deliver fluids, medication or nutrients into a patient’s circulatory system. This contributes to improvements in child care by allowing for a greater level of accuracy in drug delivery.

According to the management of the foundation ” Hon Saheed Akinade-Fijabi is very passionate about development of children in Nigeria and particularly sees a future where children have access to the very best in pediatric medical care and overall development. That is why at every opportunity; he endeavors to support pediatric medicine by donating to the Children’s emergency ward in one form or the other and this year was no different ‘.

The presentation of the equipment to the Ward, had in attendance: the representative of the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of UCH, Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC):Dr Victor Akinmoladun; Director of Administration:Mr Busayo Oladejo; Head of Pediatric Dept:Prof Regina Oladokun; Consultant in charge, OTCHEW:Dr Labaeka, Deputy director of nursing, pediatric unit: Mrs Popoola; Assistant Director of Nursing: Mrs Ronke Bello, among others.

The CMD represented by the CMAC, Dr Akinmoladun, appreciated Hon saheed Akinade- Fijabi for his regular donations to the hospital and particularly appreciated the choice of equipment as the infusion pump will be most useful in the care giving to the children and emergency unit department by most children that will be admitted to the Ward.

The representatives of the CMD also acknowledged that Hon Fijabi who is also an Ambassador of UCH has greatly helped the Hospital in the past and they wished that more donors and benefactors could toe the line of Hon. Fijabi as such donations by more individuals will assist improve the standards of the Hospital.

More so, the Foundation also visited Oyiza Orphanage, donated numerous foodstuffs to the home of needy.

While wishing the chairman, Hon Fijabi happy birthday, the representative of the orphanage Mrs Joy Idris recognized his great philanthropic gesture and appreciated his constant support and prayed for him to continue with his good deeds.

The birthday celebration also witnessed the charitable donation of the Foundation’s 11 ambassadors. The ambassadors are the beneficiaries of the youth entrepreneurial empowerment by Saheed Akinade-Fijabi which was held 2019.

The Ibadan born politician, Saheed Akinade-Fijabi is not stranger to philanthropy and as it can be seen in all his daily activities, it plays a central role in his life and due to his passion for empowerment helps, lighten the burden of others in every way he can.

Honourable Saheed Akinade Fijabi was a two-term members of House of Representatives, Abuja. He was the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Communications in the 8th Assembly.
