Oyo SDP Guber Candidate Attributes Missing Name on INEC List to Clerical Error

The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Oyo State, Mogaji Olusegun Agboola, has attributed the omission of his name from the published list of candidates by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to a clerical error, assuring supporters that efforts are underway to rectify the situation.
Agboola, who gave the assurance while reacting to the development, described the omission as an error capable of affecting the morale of party members and supporters but insisted that it would not undermine his confidence or determination to contest the 2027 governorship election.

“It is a minor error with a big impact on morale, but not one that will knock our confidence,” he said.
The SDP governorship candidate urged party members and supporters across Oyo State not to be discouraged or confused by the omission, maintaining that the development would not affect the party’s participation in the forthcoming election.
He said the issue was being addressed, expressing confidence that the necessary corrections would be made.

Agboola’s clarification is aimed at reassuring supporters amid concerns over the absence of his name from the INEC list, stressing that the party remains in the governorship race.

“We are still in the race,” he declared.
He called on supporters to remain steadfast and maintain confidence in the party as efforts continue to resolve the issue.
