The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 79 new cases of COVID-19 for Oyo state, bringing the total number of infections in the state to 4,649.
The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Friday.
Westerndailynews analysis shows that between January 8 and 15, Oyo recorded 492 cases, a sharp increase from cases recorded in the previous week.
