The protesters, who barricaded the governor’s office carrying placard with various inscriptions, claimed to have visited Governor Seyi Makinde’s private residence, and would proceed to occupy the party secretariat.

One of the leaders of PDP protesters, Alhaji Lukman Adeyanju, who presented the concern of the aggrieved members, insisted that internal democracy must thrive in the party.

The Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, Bisi Ilaka, who is also from Oyo had prevailed on the protesters even as most of them expressed their minds.

Chief Ilaka, who declined to make an official comment, however stressed that the PDP as a party would address their concerns and grievances.

It would be recalled that Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party had scheduled Thursday 4th for the primary which it later postponed.
