Oloye Ayantunde Ayandeji has been elected as the chairmanship candidate to represent People’s Democratic Party for the May 15, 2021 local government election in Olorunsogo council area of Oke Ogun, westerndailynews reports.
Announcing Ayandeji as the winner yesterday at Igbeti, the retuning officer, Mr. Kabiru Jimoh declared Oloye Ayantunde Ayandeji as the winner of PDP chairmanship primary election of Olorunsogo local government, after scored 2012 votes out of 2013 cast by the accredited delegates.
The PDP chairmanship primary election which was held at Olorunsogo local government headquarters, Igbeti was reported to be free and fair as Nigerian Police, DSS and other security agencies were on standby at the venue yesterday.
In his thank you message, Ayandeji thanked all the delegates who voted for him to be the chairmanship candidate for Olorunsogo local government for the coming state local government election, said he will surely represent the mind of the people if eventually got elected at the poll.
” Am overjoyed hearing the number of votes cast for me by the delegates, it shows there is a task on me to be delivered. Thank you all for giving me the opportunity to be our party chairmanship candidate, with all your efforts, am sure everything will turn to victory at the poll comes May 15.
Ayandeji also appreciated the sportsmanship spirits of other aspirants, urged them to accept the result of the party primary and join hands with him in other to record a sounding victory for the party in the local government at the poll.
” I am appealing to other aspirants to accept today’s result as it is, I won the party primary not that am most qualified or the best aspirant, but in an election like this, a winner much emerged, which am fortunate. Am appealing to you all to let work together to continue to make our party a great one, main election is almost here, we must work hard to be victorious, PDP is our party and we must make it great” the Olorunsogo PDP chairmanship candidate said.
He also commended the Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde for his leadership position in PDP, said the governor adopted wisdom and knowledge for the conduction of party primaries in all the 33 local government areas of Oyo state in a free and fair manner.
