Oyo state government has expressed readiness to collaborate with the Nigerian Association of Technologists, as parts of its effort to curb building collapse in the state.
The State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde said this during a solidarity visit by the technologists to his office at Agodi-Secretariat, Ibadan.
Speaking on behalf of the governor, the Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan, urged the technologists in engineering to give adequate support to the present administration in its determination to transform the state.
In a remark, the Chairman, Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering, Oyo state branch, Engineer Wole Ajagbe said measures had been put in place by the national body of the association to stamp out quackery in the profession.
Engineer Ajagbe explained that the visit was part of the activities lined up by the association to commemorate this year World Engineering Day.
