Oyo Govt. Distributes 96 Laptops To Emis In 33 LGAs
Oyo State Government through State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, under the Better Education Service Delivery for All additional financing (BESDA AF-TESS) project has distributed Ninety-Six laptops to the Education Management Information System (EMIS) offices across the 33 local government areas of the state.
The laptops were distributed by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Salihu Adelabu during a special programme held at the Ministry’s Conference room.
Prof. Salihu Adelabu, while presenting the laptops to the beneficiaries, said the state is working assiduously to reduce the percentage of out of school Children in the state.
He explained that during the Omititun 1.0, fifteen percent of the out of school children were brought back to the classroom, in the roadmap for sustainable development, while the state government is also planning to move at least 5 percent back to the school.
The state project Coordinator, Dr Bamidele Odekunle implored the state beneficiaries to maximize the use of the gadgets by bringing back the out of school children from their homes to schools.
