Oyo State House of Assembly has confirmed a former Executive Chairman, Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, Prince Dotun Oyelade and other eight nominees as Commissioner-designates, bringing the total tally to 16.
The confirmation was made during the plenary sitting of the House on Tuesday.
Previously, the House had screened and confirmed a seven-man list sent by the Governor.
Apart from Prince Oyelade, the new members also include, three returning cabinet members, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, Barr. Olasunkanmi Olaleye, and Mr. Segun Olayiwola.
The remaining five members are, Mr. Abiodun Aikomo, Prof. Abdulwaheed Soliu, Mr. Majeed Mogbojunbola, Mr. Williams Akinfunmilayo and Mr. Obafemi Ojo.
The Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, expressed confidence in the Governor’s selection of his cabinet members and urged the new Commissioner-designates to view their positions as a call to serve the state and humanity.
