Our Tenure Valid Till April 2028, Oyo NNPP Chairperson, Ayobamidele Dispels NWC Alleged Exco Dissolution

The recently sworn-in state Chairperson of the New Nigerian People’s Party, NNPP in Oyo state, Hon. Mrs. Ayobamidele Idowu Adekunle has urged all her party members in the state to disregard the purported dissolvement of her executives, says she and his member’s tenure expires in April 2028

While Ayobamidele urged all NNPP members in the state to remain calm and continue to maintain the established unity in the party, she said the claimed dissolution of the Oyo Excos was proclaimed by naive members of the NWC, added that they wouldn’t have followed a wrong step if they understand the party constitution.

The NNPP chairperson, in a released statement made available to pressmen in Ibadan Oyo state capital,  she said the party in Oyo state would not accept the decision of the NWC and now left with no option but to take a proper step against their illegal and appropriate action.

She said, ” kindly be informed that the Oyo State executive was ratified by INEC. why will NWC dissolve Oyo State Executive without allegation, I believe NNPP is a structured party that must not joke with Corporate Governance as stipulated by the constitution of the party.

Are the state chairmen not part of the NWC of the party? Why were the chairmen excluded from the malicious meeting?

Are the EXCOS not expected to be summoned in writing, communicated appropriately, and Letter to be signed by a duly authorized person and alleged in the presence of NWC?

The letter depicting the dissolvement of Excos is ill and incommunicado to us in Oyo State.

This letter and approach are illegal, and appropriate steps will be taken. I hope this will not lead to the end of NNPP nationwide.

Oyo State is peaceful; the people who want to cause the death of NNPP suddenly should go ahead, but we will stand to defend it legitimately.

If the NWC feels they are guilty by a set panel, are they not expected to be suspended pending further investigation of their alleged offenses?

” I am here standing strong with my EXCOS in Oyo state and can never be dissolved by any NWC till our tenure expires,’ Oyo State Chairperson
Ayobami Idowu said.
