Oke Ogun Oba, Sabiganna Commends Police For Ensuring Peace, Security In Iwajowa, Seeks For More Personnel

The Sabiganna of Iganna Kingdom and Chairman, Traditional Council, in Iwajowa Local Government, Area of Oyo State, HRM Oba Saliu Oyemonla Azeez Agunloye 1V has hailed men of police over exhibition of professionalism, competence, and dedication that are geared towards security of lives, properties and assurance of tight security across the nooks and crannies of the council area.

Also, the Royal Majesty called for mobilisation of more men of police to Iganna Area Command in Iwajowa LG, in order to ensure that lives and properties of the citizens and aliens are saved and better  guaranteed.

Oba Saliu Oyemonla showered these encomiums on police at his palace in Iganna, while the new Commissioner of Police, CP Adebola Hamzat on familiarisation visit to Iganna Area Command  paid him a royal homage.

The monarch maintained that, it becomes essential and  necessary to appreciate men of police over show of professionalism, competence and dedication that are seeing to protection of lives and properties.

Oba Saliu Oyemonla noted that, as the council area shares border with foreign countries, the Commissioner of Police should not hesitate to mobilise more men to the area, sequel to constant influx of the strangers.

The monarch promised to work hand-in-hand with the police and also stick to mutual synergy on areas of intelligence gathering that would no doubt ensure that people sleep with their two eyes closed.

He however said that the 11 communities making Iwajowa LG are maintaining mutual and cordial relationship with the Fulanis, as all are living with one another mutually, but the recent  attack on them by unknown gunmen was so sad, unwelcome and disheartening.

The Royal Majesty called on Commissioner of Police to look critically and inward on how lives and  properties would be more secured at the council area.

He hinted that he and others monarchies in Iwajowa LG would not fold their arms, as enactment of bye laws made by the councillors had truly empowered them to curb alleged criminal activities of some stubborn youths in the communities.

The Kabiyesi,on behalf of the Traditional Council, iwajowa Local Government appreciated the proactive efforts of His Excellency ,Engr Oluseyi Makinde,the Executive Governor of Oyo State during the crises and however promised to give Oyo State Command maximum Cooperation on crimes control and prevention.

Earlier, the Commissioner of Police, CP Adebola Hamzat said he was at the palace to appreciate monarch on unflinching support which he has been rendering to them and to also take royal blessing for smooth running of their engagements.

CP said, as the monarch remains the head of policing in the town, he should not hesitate to give more support and firm collaboration that would make their efforts effective and efficient.

The Executive Chairman, Iwajowa Local Government, Hon. Abdul Jeleel Oyinloye welcomed CP and his entourage to the council area, and however prayed for protection and guidance as they continue in securing of lives and properties.

The CP’s visit to Sabiganna’s Palace had in attendance Bagijan of Ilaji-ile,Onidiko of Idiko Ago  and Amunijio of Ijio.Others were Baales,Sabiganna-in-Council,representatives of Youths, community leaders, religious leaders, men and officers of police force, Unit Commander, Federal Road safety Corp and Amotekun unit respectively.
