Seyi Makinde, Oyo state governor, has signed the state security network and Amotekun corps bill into law.
Speaking on Tuesday at the executive chamber of government office at Agodi, the state capital, the governor said the outfit was created to complement the effort of the security agencies in keeping the peace.
The state house of assembly, last week during their last plenary session passed the bill.
Makinde assured Oyo residence that the outfit would not be used for political purposes.
