LG Election: PDP Inaugurates Central Campaign Committee For Adeojo

The People’s Democratic Party, Ido local government chapter, on Monday, inaugurated a central campaign committee for the re-election bid of the council chairman, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo.

According to the party chairman, Alhaji Akinsola Ayuba, he said, the committee was set up to mobilize votes for the party ahead of the local government election slated for Saturday 27th April 2024 in Oyo State.

Ayuba, noted that the committee was made up of committed and trustworthy PDP members, and said the party attached huge importance to the committee and the task ahead of them.

The members of the committee were carefully selected owing to their abilities and the belief that they will collectively as a committee, deliver the local government to the party.

In his address, the council chairman who is seeking re-election commended members for accepting to serve in the campaign committee, saying it was not possible to accommodate everyone, hence the scrutinization process to ensure the committee reflected all interests and groups.

According to him, nomination into the committee was based on the members’ knowledge and ability regarding campaign strategy and planning, mobilization, logistics, and election management.

Adeojo enjoined the committee members to work as a team and to carry everyone along. He also urged the commuter to make an effort to reconcile seeming differences within the party which may have arisen following primaries and other lingering clashes of interest within PDP in Ido local government for us to go into the elections as one family.

According to a list released, the campaign council has Alhaji Abdullahi as the campaign Director General and Hon Matthew Akano as its Secretary.
