KKD, Faosy Others Present As Chief Imam Of Ibadanland Turbans Abdulmojeed Badmus As Chief Imam, Olopoeyan Central Mosque
The Chief Imam of Ibadan, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Abubakir Agbotomokekere on Sunday turbaned Khalifa Alhaji Abdulmojeed Badmus as Chief Imam, Olopeyan Central Mosque with staff of office presentation.
The turbaning, and staff of office presentation, which was personally carried out by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland himself took place at Alhaji AbdulRosheed Adebisi Olopoeyan’s residence in Ibadan. The event was greeted by cheers and ecstasy from attendees.
Speaking during the turbaning and presentation, Agbotomokekere solicited the support and cooperation of the Mosque’s Jama`ah for the new Imam.
Agbotomokekere prayed that Allah will continue to guide and elevate Abdulmajeed, the new chief Imam, as he is bestowed with the highly coveted title.
The turbaning ceremony meanwhile attracted dignitaries in politics, including, Oyo state New Nigeria People’s Party governorship candidate, Engr. Popoola Olukayode Joshua and his deputy, Alhaja Modinat Adesope. Accord senatorial candidates for Oyo South and Central, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, and Engr. Daisy Nurudeen.
