The Omi/Apata Local Council Development Area Caretaker Chairman, Hon Sherrif Adeojo, has lambasted the former commissioner for education under the last administration, Prof. Adeniyi Olowofela for a statement credited to him in the news about governor Makinde receiving N1billion for security vote per month adding that the former commissioner is not only out of tune with reality in Oyo state but also lacks every moral standing to cast any form of aspersions on governor Seyi Mankind’s government.

The chairman who expressed disgust and disappointment at the ex commissioner’s comment while on a courtesy inspection visit to Hope Central Primary school, Omi Adio over the deplorable state of the school arising from its level of delapitation, told Newsmen that Prof Olowofela was commissioner of Education in Oyo state for four years without showing anything as an academician or bringing his education to bear on the state education sector thereby plunging the sector into shambles governor Makinde is working hard to revamp

He challenged the ex commissioner to point to a single achievement he recorded as commissioner while in office that could give him the luxury of moral gratification to make such frivolous comment against the outstanding performance of governor Makinde within particularly in the education sector which has become a template for other states in Nigeria.

Hon. Adeojo added that Prof. Olowofela attended Hope Central Primary school, Omi Adio with a distance of about 50meters to his residence yet the deplorable state of the school remained an eyesore till date.

He said “It is absolutely unthinkable, unimaginable that a man who ought to bury his head in shame for sheer failure in a responsibility entrusted to him as an academician for four good years is the same person who in the name of politics is making unfounded statement just to discredit the already credited governor of the people in whom the people are well pleased by his policies and programs.

“My advise for him is to play his politics with every sense of decorum so as to avoid further aggravating peoples disappointment towards an administration best described as misrule to which he was a commissioner.

“I mean let’s just put politics aside if you see a man like governor Makinde who has displayed the amount of selflessness in the service to Oyo state, all that every politically reasonable person does is to either encourage him or keep shut and observe because that is how politics is played in a more politically saner clime.

“Imagine, I am here today at the same primary school Prof Olowofela graduated from and for four years as a commissioner of education not even his own immediate environment could feel his impact which obviously accounted for why education under a failed administration in which he was a commissioner, deteriorated into its lowest feat with such shameful WASSCE ratings.”
“It is common sense for reasonable person to decipher the truth from sheer lies aimed at cheaply portraying and angel like the devil.

“We all know he just made the statement about governor Makinde receiving N1billion for security vote in a desperate move to deliberately unsuspecting members of the public to create a fuss between the now wiser people of Oyo state and their God Sent Man.
He however assured that his administration at the local would take into account everything required to restore the primary school back to an enviable status for the community and its environs.
