The executive governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde has sworn in Amb. Taofik Arapaja as the People’s Democratic Party Southwest Zonal Chairman.
Makinde at governor’s house in Ibadan inaugurated all the newly elected Southwest zonal executive.
Ambassador Taofik Arapaja polled 243 votes to win the chairmanship seat, while his closet rival, Dr. Eddy Olafeso polled 230 votes.
Other inaugurated PDP southwest excos included : Hon. Rahaman Owokoniran as Secretary ( Lagos ). Chief Sanya Adefarati, Zonal Publicity Secretary ( Ekiti ). Hon. Benson Amuwa, Zonal Organizing Secretary ( Ondo ), Chief Mrs. Bose Adedibu, Women Leader ( Oyo ), Adewoyin Abdulrasaq Babatunde, Financial Secretary ( Osun ), Bamidele Seyi Abiola,Youth Leader ( Osun ) and others.
