It’s A Privilege Working With A Governor Who wants Masses To Get Value For Their Money – Makinde aide
The newly appointed Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, to Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde, Hon. Adeniyi Adeyinka Bibire says he is lucky to work closely with a state governor who is working round the clock to ensure that there is great value for the tax payers’ money spent.
Bibire expressed his happiness about the outstanding performance of governor Seyi Makinde on Friday during a media chat with pressmen in his office at the state secretariat in Ibadan.
The Ibadan born politician said, his main aim and objective in politics is to be in a government position where he can contribute positively to better the lives of the masses.
He said that has been his intention since he joined politics over a decade ago, therefore appreciate governor Seyi Makinde for giving him a platform to serve now.
‘ I have been into politics over the years and looking forward to serve the people, no when the time came, am happy it under a good leader, someone who always look forward to make life easier to masses, someone who has assured the people of the state that his administration would ensure that they got value for the tax payers’ money spent and which he is fulfilling presently.
“ Thank God, the opportunity for me to serve came under a good leader, a performing governor, he is everywhere in the state with projects, he is up and doing, it is now for people like us to complement and propagate his unexpected and quick achievements in less than three years”. Bibire said.
While citing example of Makinde’s achievements, Bibire compared roads constructed by the last administration with Seyi Makinde’s administration, and said, “it was an herculean task for late Abiola Ajimobi’s administration to construct 8km of road in 8 years but it was very easy for governor Seyi Makinde to construct more than 200km of road in less than 2 and half years”.
He added that, prompt payment of worker’s salaries, pensioners arrears, renovating and reconstruction of Primary Health Care Center in each of the state local government and others have been a great achievements for governor Seyi Makinde in which, administrations since 1999 never match.
Bibire further stated that Makinde and PDP would continue to deliver on good governance that will fast track the lost glory of the pace setter state.
