Ido LG Begins Distribution Of FG Grains

 

The executive chairman of Ido local government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo has kicked-start the distribution of Federal Government grains palliative received from the state government.

The chairman has earlier inaugurated a 15-man committee of stakeholders saddled with the responsibility of fashioning out modalities of distribution of the grains to the beneficiaries.

While addressing the beneficiaries of the grains palliative at the local government hall, the chairman advised them to comport themselves in an orderly manner to ease the job of the committee, the chairman equally charged the committee to adhere strictly to the distribution list worked out for transparency and accountability, he as well implored those who are representing one group or the other to be just to the group that sent them.

Hon. Sheriff seized the occasion to sensitize the people of the local government and the state at large not to partake in any protest as being speculated. The council boss stressed further that the protest may be hijacked by the hoodlums for their selfish interest which may end up in chaos.

The chairman,, therefore calls for calm as effort is ongoing both at the state and Federal government level to address the food scarcity and proffer solutions in the interest of the citizenry.

Supporting the chairman during the distribution exercise are the chief of staff, the newly appointed supervisors, Special Assistants to the local government, and the career officers
