Hon. Omotosho Rafiu Olayinka, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for the Ido State House of Assembly seat, has felicitated with Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Omotosho, who currently serves as a councillor representing Ward 3 in Ido Local Government, extended his warm greetings to Muslims across the council area and Oyo State at large, congratulating them on the spiritual fulfilment achieved during the fasting period.
In his message, the aspirant described Ramadan as a sacred period characterised by deep reflection, devotion, self-discipline, and a renewed commitment to the service of Almighty Allah and humanity. He noted that the significance of the holy month goes beyond abstaining from food and drink, highlighting the values of compassion, generosity, and care for the less privileged.
He commended Muslim faithful for their steadfastness and dedication throughout the 30-day fast, emphasizing that the season fostered increased acts of charity and strengthened communal bonds.
Omotosho urged adherents to sustain the virtues imbibed during Ramadan, particularly love, tolerance, and support for one another, as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr. He also called for continued prayers for peace, unity, and development in Ido Local Government and Oyo State.
